Top-Rated YA Fantasy Romance Series Every Booklover Should Read

“Fall in love with these YA Fantasy Romance Series – Magic, Love, and Everything In Between”

Do you ever feel that life has become a little too real? School, work, drama at home – everything is just tiring.

If I say a magical world is waiting for you? Where there is romance, adventure, secrets and a little danger too. Yes, I am talking about those YA Fantasy Romance series which are not just stories – they are a complete emotion.

So let’s go towards those stories which break your heart and then strengthen it again.

  1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Celaena Sardothien is not a normal heroine. She is an assassin with a dark past and her confidence level is sky high. When she has to face a dangerous battle to become the king’s champion, her entire journey changes.
This series has magic, romance and secrets. This series is perfect for fans of strong female leads and slow-burn love. Bonus point: There is a love triangle that will break your heart.
  2. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Jude is a mortal girl who lives in a cruel world of fairies where everyone is against her. And then comes Cardan – dark, rude and dangerous. This story is a complete package of enemies to lovers trope. Fae politics, betrayal and slow simmering romance are its charm. Once started, it will be difficult to stop.
  3. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Alina is an orphan who one day finds out that she is a Sun Summoner – a rare magical being. Then she goes to Grisha world where both magic and war prevail. There is also a love triangle – Darkling or Male? You decide for yourself.
  4. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
This story is about Grace and Sam. Grace is a girl, Sam is a werewolf. This romance is soft, poetic and comes with deep feelings. If you are looking for a mellow and subtle romance in which the focus is on emotions, this is a perfect read.
  5. These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan
Bree goes into the fae world to save her sister. There she comes face to face with two fae princes – one charming and one dark. And the story begins to take a twist. The story is full of betrayal, steamy romance and unexpected turns. ACTOR fans will love this.
  6. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Feyre kills a fae and then gets her punishment. But this punishment turns into a magical and emotional romance. The series has magic, battles and the story gets more intense with each book. If you enjoy long, emotional fantasy arcs, don’t miss this series.
  7. Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
Alosa is a pirate princess who allows herself to be kidnapped – just to find treasure. Her boldness, cleverness and chemistry with enemies make the story fun and fast-paced. If you want a combo of pirates and romance, this is it.
  8. Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Lou is a rebellious witch and Reid is a witch hunter. When they are forced to marry, sparks fly. This is an intense version of enemies-to-lovers where secrets, drama and magic are on every page.

Now the question is – why is this Fantasy Romance so attractive?

Because these stories take us away from reality. It is a dreamy escape where we explore new worlds, feel new emotions. Romance is raw, magic seems real and there is hope in every story.

You don’t just watch it, you become a part of those stories.

My Personal Top 3 Picks

Throne of Glass – because a heroine like Celaena is not found in every story.

The Cruel Prince – because it has redefined the enemies-to-lovers trope.

Serpent & Dove – because the combo of arranged marriage and magic gives next-level drama.

What is your top 3?

Where can I find these books?

Amazon, local bookshops, thrift stores, libraries or reading apps like Libby or Scribd. Ask any of your reader friends too.

My Experience

While I was writing this list, I got lost in this fantasy world again. Throne of Glass has always been my weakness – it has a perfect balance of strength and vulnerability. The unpredictable energy of Cruel Prince hooks me every time. And the romance of Serpent & Dove is honestly addictive.

If you are in a mood to get away from reality for a while, then do try these books. Maybe this will become your soul escape too.
